1. How do I maintain my timber building?

• Your Superior Timber Building will be maintenance free for 2-5 years (depending on local weather conditions).
• After this period, buildings only need to be re-painted with a top coat. (No need to apply a pre-treatment).
• Your building is instantly weather proof after installation.
• The entire building is treated including all the parts that are unreachable after installation.

2. Can I heat my timber building?

• We recommend the installation of a thermostatically operated electronic radiator system if heating is required within your timber structure. This is both economic, discrete and affordable.

3. Is my building insulated?

• A comprehensive insulation system is available with each Superior Timber Structure. In order to ‘weatherproof’ your office or studio – we insulate each wall, floor and ceiling with a premium-quality 40mm Polyisocyanurate insulation material. This system is particularly effective at maintaining heat within the buildings structure.

4. What electrical provisions do I need for my building?

• If you require power within your structure – this will need to be connected to the main consumer unit within your house. We can assist with the full connection service as an optional addition (if necessary) – by our qualified electrical team, alternatively we can advise on this process should you require the use of your own tradesmen.

5. Do I need a concrete base for my timber building?

• Dependent on the style or type of system you are hoping to install a concrete base may be required to support your Superior Timber Building. The dimension required with this will vary dependent on the size of building you are hoping to manufacture. Your advisor is on hand to assist with the specification and installation of this if required.

6. How long should I allow for installation?

• Dependent on the size of building you hope to install – this typically takes 2 days for a team of installers to carry out. Please consult your sales advisor for information relating to this.

7. Installation

• We have an expert team of fitters on hand to assist with your installation, but should you wish to arrange this yourself, we will be happy to speak with your contractors to make sure fitting runs smoothly.

8. Can I reclaim the tax on my home office or studio?

• Dependent on your business status – there are a number of ways the tax element on your home office or garden studio can be off-set. If VAT registered an individual or business could potentially reclaim the VAT element (currently 20%) of your purchase in your VAT return. Dependent on the nature of your business – your structure may also be used to offset against your tax return – we would advise you consult your accountant for detailed information relating to this.
